Meetings
We welcome anyone who currently practices in a rural community or has an interest in rural surgery to attend. Furthermore, attendance and membership is not limited solely to surgeons. Residents, Advanced Practice Providers, and medical students are encouraged to be active participants in this society through membership and annual meetings, as we all bring unique value through experience.
2026 Annual Meeting
Plans are underway for the 2026 North American Rural Surgical Society Annual Meeting!
This year the meeting will take place at the beautiful Westgate Hotel in sunny San Diego, CA from February 6-8, 2026. Please save the date!
Now is the time to prepare your abstracts for submission. A call for abstracts and information on how to register for the meeting and book accommodations is forthcoming.
Submit an Abstract
We invite you to submit your work for consideration of paper presentations, interesting case reports, “How I Do It” presentations, and topics related to rural surgery during our annual meeting. Appropriate topics are eligible for submission to the society’s journal, American Surgeon.
